Kireka - Monday, June 14: Residents of Acholi quarters, in Kireka, Kampala, have entered into a partnership with the Uganda Police and Umeme to ensure all electricity connections in the area are legitimate.

May 19th,2010,Kampala The Uganda Police Force has set up a National Task Force to curb the theft of electricity.The Special Task Force has been constituted together with Umeme, and will "oversee, monitor and review progress of the campaign to reduce energy losses through theft" officials said yesterday.
