Steps on how to compute power consumed

	One of the energy meters on the system.

1. Current Reading - Previous Reading on your meter = number of units consumed (X)

(NB. The meter No. for the current and Previous
reading must be the same)

2. Computation of the Bill

• Know the tariff type e.g. Domestic, Commercial or Industrial
  
  
• Know the tariff rate
  
  
• Steps for computing a bill e.g. Domestic Customer

1. First 15 units consumed are billed at Ushs. 100.00 per unit: 15 Units x shs. 100.00 = Ushs 1500
   
   
2. Any extra unit (eg X units) above the first 15 units consumed is billed at Ushs. 385.6: (X - 15) x shs. 385.6
   
   
3. Standard Service Fee (SSF) = Shs. 2,000 per month
   
   
4. Add VAT = 18% of ( A + B + C )
   
   

Current Charge = A + B + C + D

Plus Previous Balance brought forward

Less Payments/Adjustments if any

Total Charge = Current Charge + Previous Balance if any Less Payments/Adjustments
